The Delica Pumpkin is our flagship product: it has a round and flattened shape, characterised by a dark green skin and brown grooves.
From a nutritional point of view, Delica Squash is an important source of fiber, minerals, vitamins and beta-carotene. As for mineral salts, it contains magnesium, potassium, phosphorus and is also rich in Omega 3 .
Thanks to its dry consistency and the sweetness of its chestnut pulp, the Delica Pumpkin can be used in various ways in the kitchen and be, at the same time, an excellent ally for your diet.
Typical of Ferrara, the Violina Pumpkin is distinguished by its wrinkled surface, covered with a floury patina, it has a thick, wrinkled yellow skin with orange reflections.
Also good raw, it has a firm and slightly sweet pulp, with an intense yellow colour that tends towards a nutty aroma.
It has a decidedly sweet flavor, it is suitable for fillings of tortelli and all types of cakes. It is also excellent fried, because its very firm pulp absorbs little oil.
Finally, it is perfect for jam and baking in general.
With its elongated “peroidal” shape, typical beige-brown colour and smooth surface, it has the advantage of gathering the seeds in a single area.
Nutritionally, Butternut Squash is low in calories, only 45 calories per 100 grams. It does not contain saturated fats or cholesterol and is rich in fiber, vitamins and flavonoids. It contains mineral salts such as iron, zinc, copper, calcium, potassium and phosphorus.
Finally, it is considered a natural antioxidant and can be used in soups, tarts, cream soups and jams, but also risottos, thanks to its sweet, soft and buttery pulp and a flavour reminiscent of hazelnuts.
